i dont get it. why do parents like to insult their kids sometimes? They insult us with random comments about us just cos they're mad at us. They call us stuff to vent their anger cos they're angry at us.

That helps them take a breather and feel less agitated. But what about us?

its like, they think we take them for granted. but do they not realise they're doing the same?

adults always say stuff like "Respect your parents and show them gratitude cos they brought you up." or some crap like that. Ever heard of "Respect your kids or they wont respect you"?

today when Celine's mom called Celine to talk about the Chinese tuition crap since we made a replacement class later in the afternoon, they kinda quarrelled. Cos Celine's mom said her Chinese was lousy and she wasnt putting in enough effort in her studies yadayada. Yah, if that WERE true.

When Celine cut the call she just said "BITCH!" and cried. i mean, she was so upset. She was like "Yah so what if my Chinese is horrble or bad. Like yours is any better."

i agree. i mean, not about her mom's chinese being lousy. But that parents just think they can say whatever they like and get away with it.

And THEY say WE cant get away with whatever we say whenever we like. HAH!

Some parents just dont get it. They dont see some sides of us and make random accusations just cos they SHUANG. they dont get how hurt we feel.

like that time my mom called me stupid and said i wouldnt be able to last in the sec2 camp all just cos i was afraid of a moth (yesyes i admit i'm afraid of insects). i felt so insulted. i mean, if you've been called stupid since birth, you would be used to it by now since you're 14. But i've not been called stupid much often. So when my parents say it they must really mean it or something.

I was so mad at her. If it were not for the fact that the next day i needed to buy track pants after sailing for my camp, or that i still respected my parents, i would have given her a "piece of my mind" like a slap or something and ran out of the house. Apparently all the cousins of mine are all very guai esp on my dad's side. if not i would have ran away by now. if i did, i would be the first kid from my mom and dad's side to run away. hah.

some parents randomly say "I WISH YOU WERENT BORN!" when they're scolding you cos they're angry. The fact is they dont think what effects it would have on their kids and how seriously their kids can be about such stuff.
