I must learn to contain my excitement.....

BECAUSE WE'RE IN THE FINALS!!!

WE'RE IN THE FRIGGIN' FINALS!

The emcee was such an asshole (no I don't mean it, really) because when announcing the dance groups that got in the finals, she went:

"D21, D23, D25....... D24-"

I swear, when I heard her jump our number my heart sank. Suina was making fun of my facial expression over dinner @ Kenny Rogers. She said when the emcee skipped our number my face was like :'((((((( but the moment I heard "D24" my facial expression changed in a split second to :DDDDDDDDDD and I screamed 'till Inez complained her ears hurt.

D24's the number we got today. Getting a performance number that's the name of one of your favourite fruits (we got the KING of it, too!) never goes wrong. ;)

I've got photos and even a video from the day itself -- thanks to our "manager unni + oppa" duo of Suina Ong and Chan Huei. They even came up with a fanchant for us! -- I'll be sure to upload 'em here soon!

But for now, it's time to celebrate over a cup of ice-cold water and Plants vs. Zombies!

p.s. Thank you Drey, Belle, Shanai, Eileen (muogutou), Elie and Jiahui for coming down to support us today! Very much appreciated. Sorry you guys had to come early and like, listen to all the crappy singing. I feel so bad!

And oh, PLEASE COME DOWN TO NOVENA SQ 2 ON THE 12TH OF DECEMBER AT 2PM-5PM TO SUPPORT PERENNIAL IN THE FINALS OF teenSupreme!

That is, IF I got the location and timing right. ;)

HyunMin

HOW ADORABLE IS THIS! Yoogeunnnn ah! I hope you know that you are the luckiest and one of the cutest kid in the world.

I've already settled some Christmas gifts! Buying presents for people who love KPop is like.. the easiest task on Earth I swear.

Okay enough of SHINee.

Perennial's audition would be around 2.30pm-3pm! So if y'all are free please do come down to support us @ Novena Sq 2!

I know I've been advertising a lot, but we all seriously spent a long time practising for teenSupreme so it'll be nice if some of my friends came down to support the love of my life a.k.a the Perennial Dance Crew! We've been meeting almost everyday this week, practising for hours on hand. So yeah, I would really appreciate it if you came down to watch us ;)

We're even doing a bit of SNSD's "Oh!" in our comic relief as a remix, so do look out for us!

Time to get back to choreographing to Shut Up and Drive!

I. Need. Inspiration!

"Perennial has a nice ring to it!"

SUPPORT THE PERENNIAL DANCE CREW NEXT FRIDAY @ NOVENA SQ 2!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I've been wanting to say something like that since.. ever!

Okay so my 'Kinky Crew' name suggestion was turned down. And so was my 'Whip It/Whip Muh Hair Crew' names.

After practice today, Inez came up with 'Perennial' and I guess it stuck. It's not as cool as Poreotix, but good enough. Jolyn's still looking online on thesaurus.com for less cheem names for our crew though hahaha.

I'm so excited for the competition!! We've done a lot in terms of choreography. Can't wait to get our choreo filmed down for y'all to see. Chan did film it down today but they were saying it's better to upload after TeenSupreme if not everyone'll know what we're doing for the comp, which kills the fun in it.

See y'all soooooon and yes please come down and support us for the TeenSupreme competition! I'm not sure what time though and yeah holding auditions on a Friday's just.. weird.

Dance dance, we're falling apart to half time

Drew this shoe for Xuehui as a card for Xuehui!

Yes I know it looks a bit.. lopsided. But hey I was rushing and the photos I Googled for high-top shoes weren't exactly big or clear so whatever.

And in case you were wondering, yes, the star IS supposed to be drawn like that.

Hahaha my Ah-Chan's so cute.

And that was our last HH3 lesson.

The dancers are awesome! ♥

I'll miss the whole Thursdays With Xuehui thing along with (L-R in photo) Fred(?), Yongjun, Jeremy(?), Daryl, Guohui, Suina, Chan Huei, Ashley, Xuehui, Natalie and Inez!

Okay er my dad's supposedly leaving for work now but he's just sitting on the chair and not moving so I'm feeling a bit awkward blogging so near him. I swear, when he took the shoes from the shoe cupboard I could feel him glancing over at the computer screen.

Right.......

Okay so thanks to this post's title, I now have FOB's "Dance, Dance" on replay on my iTunes. Heh I miss going crazy over FOB's songs and listening to them all day. I still love 'em though. Don't think they're back together yet right? Still disbanded?

But yeah Sublime with Rome and The Dirty Heads are now the bands I likeeee. Nothing will beat FOB though.

-------------------------

Met the dancers today to work on our choreo for the Teens mag competition that we're taking part in, thanks to dearest Na!

Sadly they only allow 5 people per group, be it singing/dancing/singing + dancing, so Kailing's not taking part in it. And oh, my stomach was really weird today though so I got a bit cranky.

Anyway, our choreo so far is fun and surprisingly, we were quite neat in our angles and blocking. Our formations weren't extremely simple either so hurrah to us! Inez and I even decided on the lineup of songs on the train home today.
  1. Ching-A-Ling
  2. Soom
  3. Whip My Hair (LOL). Nez left the choreo for this to me! It's gonna be super reggae I tell you!
  4. This is Why I'm Hot. Old song but good for dissing nonetheless.

Time to get Ah Chan to whip out her DSLR to video our practices. Now I wonder why I never took into consideration the fact that my Sony DSLR has no video recording before purchasing it.

Meeting them again on Wednesday morning (after sending Rae off at the airport at 6am together with Cel) to practice and continue choreographing again! Can't wait for the auditions in December.

Hope we'll rock it ;)

I love how I now have so much time to spend on dance, when a few months ago I could only dance like once a week?

*SCAPE is now officially my second home.

MFSS Sailing's 10th Anniversary

Went back to Mayflower yesterday for the 10th anniversary celebration!

(Sadly, no photos yet cuz I didn't bring my CamCam since we were sailing. Gotta wait for people to upload something!)

There were quite a few 'ancient seniors' -- those from like the first batch in 2000 and on -- who went back. It was quite amusing cuz when Mrs Sidhu made them introduce themselves we were all "What are you working as?", "Where you working?", "Still studying ah? WHERE?!", especially Nic Wong!

And we went to NSC to sail! They changed the system a lot especially with the new shed to go in one by one to collect your stuff but at least the uncle was pretty nice to help me and Aaron J. with our rudder problem.

Had this serious talk with Aaron J. and Marilyn during the Cat 1 (so we couldn't sail cuz there was a thunderstorm. THE WIND WAS SO GOOD THOUGH I SWEAR!!) and Aaron got so pissed. We were talking about where sailing was headed.. y'know, with the current batch and all. He was so pissed that as a captain, he couldn't do anything to turn the situation around and he was all, "There's no such thing as being slack or not being serious during training. If that's the case get out of the CCA la!"

Well done bro, you deserve to be the male captain of your batch ;)

And now he intends to screw the next batch of juniors by like making PT and training extra hard. I mean c'mon, the juniors now are doing 20 pushups per training?! Which is like 1/3 - 1/4 of what we used to do when Ms Cheng and Mrs Sidhu were around? They're not even running the usual rounds either.

AND they don't even have training during the hols. Which is very :\

So yeah the day was awesome, but not the actual sailing part cuz when cat 1 was over the wind was CRAP. Terribly light. We had 2 races though and Nic Wong came out tops :)

But seeing everyone in the whole 'sailing atmosphere' again was really good. Like, not seeing them normally when we go out or whatever, but like in the whole UV suit getup, geared up to launch boat thing.

Okay fine I don't know how to explain it. Just that seeing everyone again at NSC itself made my day. :)

A Day Out - Deepavali @ Little India

Met Rae and Cel after celebrating Joey and Shanai's birthdays at Joey's place (blog post about it later/tomorrow!) and we went walking around Little India.

Rae wanted me to shoot a "romantic shot" of her, with "The background blurred and like, the camera only focuses on me."

After coming out of City Square Mall (and ordering some Fancy Delight eggtarts for ourselves. Yummmm mine's still the double chocolate one!) Settled down at some restaurant-ish place for dinner. Rachel was craving for tandoori chicken so our main objective was to order that.

And Cel's combo that day was cute! Her pinkish-red top and blue bag (which we both bought together except mine's in brown) go together quite well. :P
I'm wearing my old white and red striped shirt from F21!

Shared this with Rae. Yummmm tum tum!

And my favourite! Naan. Sooooo much better and healthier than roti prata.

Tourists that came to check out the food.

Sadly this wasn't the restaurant we ate at (ours was just a simple one), but my point is that all the angmoh tourists like eating at the fancy restaurants like this!

What's the point in that! You don't get the whole 'authentic feel'.

Okay yeah I'm bullshitting.

Then we went inside this Indian temple to take a look. We weren't supposed to initially but we were like, since we were here why not? Surprisingly it wasn't only the Indians and Chinese that were in there -- a lot of angmohs were inside too!

Blah you look at that silly woman. She has a good figure but she keeps complaining how fat she is. Full of nonsense.

(She's in blue, by the way)

Ghee lamps.

Apparently after visiting the temple we decided to walk to Bugis. Used the toilets inside Illuma and I suggested we go all the way up since I've never explored the whole of Illuma before (Wifey Nana always talks about Colo but I've never been there! Grr).

Ended up playing two of the claw cranes there. Heehee.

Rilakuma! Rae gave it and the little milk keychain she's holding in her hands to me.

SO HAPPY. Now I know why people spend like hundreds of dollars on claw cranes! The satisfaction you feel after winning something is like.. whoa.

But of course we didn't spend that much there. Don't be fooled by the three polar bears Cel's holding below:

Because I -- or my itchy hands, to be exact -- saw these stacked up in a way and......

..I knocked the glass curiously.

Apparently they really fell over! Heehee yay me. We felt so bad about it after that though! I went to get a card to play it once, and I ended up catching another bear!

We went to return the 2 that I knocked down, and the dude was giving us this 'are you crazy?' face and told us to just keep it. And when we left he continued giving us the weird face. Hahaha.
See Cel + Rae! Told you they'd prolly give 'em to us!

Those polar bears are our friendship bears now. Haha we're full of style. People have friendship bracelets, we have friendship BEARS.

Beat that! ;)

Pretty babe!

Pretty babe with shiny legs!

Went for Rocher tauhuay after that since we kinda walked in the wrong direction (was headed for the bus stop but we crossed the road, which we shouldn't have).

THEIR TAUHUAY WAS SOOOO FRESH AND YUMMY I SWEAR.

These customers can vouch for it:

Satisfied customer #1
*coughs*

Satisfied and tired customer #2

Satisfied customers #3 and #4, Rilakuma and Polar!

I have the best mini-adventures with them!

Our plans next are to go to Geylang Serai (for the food, not to see prostitutes please).

And I can't believe they agreed with my crazy plan! I suggested that one day, we carry a backpack with lots of water and our essentials in it and walk aimlessly around Singapore to see where we end up!

Singapore's so small and I noticed how no matter what, all roads are connected. So yeah we're gonna walk around the whole of Singapore one day! Awesomeeee!

Recently swam + baked with them too! Teehee. I miss them both now :( Rae's in camp and won't be back till Tuesday! ACJC why'd you rob us of our bonding time grr. We're gonna send her off at the airport on Wednesday morning since she's going to Shanghai. Then Cel will be going to Japan! So even though my hols are terribly long, we actually don't have much time to spend with each other :(

CAN'T WAIT FOR HARRY POTTERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Mike Song

HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LIKE THE TWO ROUTINES ABOVE?

I was so happy when I saw the second one. Ker knows me well enough to know that I LOVE Ellie Goulding and Starry Eyed's my favourite song of hers. So to have it remixed and danced to really made my day.

Speaking of Ker, I finally met up with her today! Aaron, Darren, DY and Alex couldn't make it. Felt kinda bummed out but oh well meeting one is better than meeting none no?

We were both in the nua-ing mood cuz we had very little sleep. Settled for lunch at Hub's food court and Beanie met us for a short while there! Missed her soooooo much! There's nothing more I hate than O's. Okay maybe I hate RETAKING O's more than O's itself. Rips you of your life, seriously.

Bought Koi (FML of all numbers they skipped ours) and had one of our long chats at the fountain in Hub. They're getting ready for Christmas! There were little ornaments that you would usually find on Christmas trees hung up and it was such a pretty sight as compared to what they did last year which is nothing much to be honest.

Oh, I'm finally done with Lit! 3 down, 1 to go! Sadly 1 = 2 cuz I'm retaking combined humanities (History + SS). Dumbest decision ever made. Or at least, the decision to retake Pure Lit was a dumb one.

And oh, NO ONE in Deyi took Pure Lit. There were only 2 people who signed up to take Pure Lit today and one of them was me. It was so awkward cuz when we had to go back in for P.Lit paper 2, there was only two of us in the huge Deyi Sec hall. Creepy at first but I got used to it and I doubt the teachers really bothered to scrutinise our every move for the whole 1.5hrs.

I prayprayPRAY that I passed Math! I won't be greedy and ask for a distinction (because I know that's not possible), but I pray I at least pass! I need to go to school next year I swear. Anyone who says they would enjoy leading my lifestyle of not attending school etc., you couldn't be more wrong.

Can't wait for this Thursday! Dance will be AMAZING. Or at least I hope it'll be! Shall shower (I jogged today all hail the lazy me) and think of what to choreo for Thursday. Hm.....

p.s. I'm craving for chirashizushi now after watching K-On!!
