I HAZ SHORT HAIR!!

NAW JUST KIDDING.

Bet I gotcha there!

I would never cut my hair short. Not for now anyway. I know I contemplated hair of that length like a few months back (Qah was like, "GO FOR IT BABE JUST CUT JUST CUT!!" and Ker was all "Noooo when the weather gets warm you can't tie your hair!!")

Yeah enough of camwhoring pics. My hair's (slightly) straighter, no? Heehee I straightened it using my straightener which Mom and I have not touched for a little over a year now.

The aftermath (with my fringe pushed a lil' more to the side)

Okay yeah I do stupid stuff like straightening my hair at 5AM. Yes WE'VE ALL ESTABLISHED THAT FACT. (I realised this is the 3rd time I'm saying "We've established that fact")

Family's going on a food-feasting Malaysia trip tomorrow. That'll include that awesome durian place at Tangkak! I really really wanna go there but ugh I've been scared shitless of the amount of calories one seed of durian has! Much less the whole damned thing.

And that awesome beehoon place! I used to hate beehoon as a kid but started to eat it since sec1 I think. Believe me when I say I love the beehoon there because I've never tasted such yummy beehoon! Then again, all delicious food's fattening.. foodies, lets just admit that.

And because all delicious food's fattening, I've opted out of tomorrow's trip!

Besides, I've got better things to do like stay home and rot.

So I'm prolly going for this job interview/orientation tomorrow. A tad bit dubious but Momszie called back the dude and was alright with it. Imagine her trash-talking to the dude at 11pm. Okay she's not that fierce, just saying..

Ker might accompany me there too. Meeting Alex after her her project meeting to go to *SCAPE to support my dearest Twinnie Tang Mingwei and his stall! His friend's, actually. Can show Alex how cool O School is at the same time. Yes I love O School now!

Then we're heading back to her place or mine (hopefully buying a tub of Ben & Jerry's on the way!) to sleepover or just to chill, depending on what time my parents get back.

Scrubs marathon, anyone?

I am Hip Hop I no more!

I can't believe this is an ACTUAL movie and not one of the countless parodies found on Youtube. I'm definitely gonna catch this. Fo' shizzle yo.

Yours truly is now officially done with O School's Hip Hop I course.

AND I MET HOK OF SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE SEASON 3 up close and personal today before and after class! Was gushing like a little girl getting candy throughout and I even forgot his name because I was so excited. He's teaching one of the Master Classes that his crew Quest Crew taught tonight.

He's shorter than what I thought he'd be, though. BUT I LOVE HIS HAIR.

I love everything about today. Xuehui breaking us up into groups to do blocking and one-eight of a choreography was the best thing that ever happened in this class (besides having known Grace and Anika).

Thanks to this, the group of people I kinda disliked are now people I find really fun. Finally understood how the Chinese phrase ren bu ke mao xiang applies in life. I now have more than 7 friends from this dance class. Even though our group was the worst (we did really easy formations and didn't add in our own choreo at all), we laughed it off and enjoyed the rest of the groups' mini-performance.

And thanks to this, I went home via train with one of my new buddies. Hi Cheryl Y.! Please take note that I am a Facebook homepage mini-feeds flooder.

Can't wait to introduce her and Fitzgerald to Anika next week! WE'RE OFFICIALLY HIP HOP II STUDENTS, BABY! I may have been dancing since primary 6, but I've never gotten a cert from anything hip hop related so this is one thing I'll keep properly.

(Oops, its actually.. well, on the floor now.......)

Sadly I'll never see Grace in anymore cuz she's joining Street Jazz.

Events of the day aside..

... it seems like yours truly won't be sleeping on her bed tonight/tomorning..

Germany..

Cried. First time I ever cried over a team getting kicked out of World Cup.

The bitter-sweet feeling I got.. whoa. I smiled when the ref blew his whistle to end the 2nd half but the moment the cameras focused on Germany's side I started crying. Been supporting them since last World Cup (which was pretty sad for them as well) so yeah its heart-wrenching.

Sucks to love both teams.

Well at least I feel good knowing that at least one of my favourite teams are gonna be in the finals. C'mon Espanyol, we can do this!

Tumblr, people!

Hi guys!

Yes, I've succumbed to the Tumblr trend, I'll admit.

And no, I'm not moving there, and I never will. But its like a side-blog for me? I post photos, quotes and reblog random shizz there. So yeah do follow me if you like my works here on Realityworks and all that nonsense!

I don't blog there, the blogging's done here. :) I've been blogging on Realityworks since.. well like primary 6 (before that I had another blog. No infact I have like 4 other blogs that I use for blogging (I have a total of 12 blogs linked to my Blogger account, the rest meant for Blogskins and class stuff) -- 3 that I don't blog on anymore since I created RW in primary 6, and 1 I use for personal stuff).

So yeah I'll never abandon or change Realitywork's URL.

So after all that nonsense.. CLICK CLICK CLICK here for my Tumblr and +follow!

Let me introduce you..

I believe you guys have yet to meet.

Everyone, this is (uh.. I'VE NOT NAMED THIS CAMERA YET! HOW HOW HOW?!). Camera, this is everyone.

Can I just rave about this little thing of mine for a bit? Heehee.

A Konica C35. Made in 1968 with 38mm f2.8 four-element Hexanon lens, this camera was one of Konica's more successful models back in the days, and I can't be happier sharing my find -- my best yet! Welcome to the family!

So lets see..

I have a 1968 Konica C35, a (I have no idea what year it was manufactured since this was my dad's. But he has been using it like even before he got married to Mom??) Praktica with MC Carl Zeiss Jena lens, and a 1998 OneStep CloseUp Polaroid camera, which, sadly, I'm not able to use now because PX films cost a bomb, like SGD$47 per pack of 10 shots?

Meaning one Polaroid photo would cost $4.70. HELLO YOU CAN PAY ME $5 TO SELL 'EM MAN.

And I don't like it when people call a Fujifilm Instax a Polaroid omggggg there's a difference my friends. Yeah I know its dumb to get worked up over names but there really is a difference! Polaroid is a brand name itself, and an established one at that. So I guess calling an Instax a Polaroid is kind of an insult to the brand. Hm..

But yeah I'm wondering if I should get an Instax. Not Mini or the Mini 25, but the Instax 210. The hugeass one which would prolly be rather heavy to carry around?

(On a side note, SHINee used it on their reality show Yunhanam)

Main reasons being I would NEVER be able to afford shooting with my Polaroid anymore. Even when I met Jaye at Orchard Central's Open Bazaar (he's the owner of the website I often visit for sales of vintage cameras/Polaroids/photography accessories), he told me he could sell me the film but it would be better if I saved up and bought myself film cameras.

I hate the fact that photography is such an expensive hobby :(

Next time, I'll marry a husband whom is rich enough to support my hobby!! *evil laughter*

So my life has been..

There. Just a bit to sum it up for you.

So it was Eclipse, Suki Sushi (the Cine's outlet's WAY better than AMK's one. Should've established that fact ages ago) and my new baby vintage camera (I've yet to name it) with Bern.

Then off to Sentosa Resort World with Cel for Voyage de La Vie.

If you've ever watched Entertainment on 5, Sylvester Sim and this bald causasian guy were on it to promote this musical.

It was good, but nothing special. Maybe I think its good cuz Sylvester Sim stared me straight in the eye when he walked past the area I was sitting at. I uncrossed and crossed my legs, and I swear he actually looked at my legs as I crossed and uncrossed them while he was singing halfway and gave me this "Why'd you just do that?" look as he then looked up to look at me. Hahaha.

And oh, one of the angmoh performers who like came off the stage to get the crowd hyped up for this musical's finale was standing like at the row behind mine, back facing me. I was talking to Cel and noticed he turned back to look at us, so I looked at him and it was awkward for like one moment? Then I smiled and he nodded his head in a "Oh hey there!" fashion and flashed a smile. *melts*

Yes I know. I can't believe I just smiled at a performer like that. I would usually turn away, yes i know, I know.

G'morning!

Good morning people! Was playing around with my hair's parting. Found instant gratification in a different parting but my short fringe refuses to let it be that way. Boo....

Anyways, its now 7:45AM, I hear birds chirping and I believe that's my call to go sleep. Things to do on my checklist for tomorrow (or today, actually): Reorganise my closet, tidy up my study table, sweep my room's floor, so on and so forth.

So.. GOOD MORN!

CXXJ

Happy birthday sweetie!

Mom bought a cake from Polar (she asked for my recommendations and I was like "OH I LOVE THEIR CHOCOLATE FUDGE! Bought it for Ker's birthday the last time"). Hopped down to Cel's place straight after dance, which explains my really chui face.

Drank Bailey's, ate a huge slice of cake and had a little catching up over our favourite strawberry BBT.

Cel, never change. Stay the way you are, I and many others love you for that. I'm glad we're still besties over the years and its amazing how our moms are now like sisters.

And today.. Well I was in a really bad mood in dance. Learnt my lesson on SKIPPING lessons. Will never do that ever again in XH's class unless I want to feel like crying throughout the whole 1 hour session again.

Well okay I can catch on but the moves Xuehui taught last week are just too hard to catch up within that measly hour. Was so frustrated with myself. This is the first time Anika saw me like that. She was constantly asking me, "Are you okay Gwen?" and telling me "Chill, take it slowly." or "Relax, it took me an hour at home to get this part right."

Thank you babe. Without you today I might've just burst.

I can't adapt to Xuehui's teaching style. Unlike Choonhui (Studio Wu), Xuehui won't wait. She won't go beside you if and dance with you until you get the steps. She just moves on.

I'm wondering whether to continue on with Xuehui's Hip Hop II course, or try An An's Hip Hop I. Though that would mean starting all over again with a course.. I wanna move on to HHII really!

Choonie really makes me enjoy dance. I laugh and smile a lot during her lessons. In XH's class I hardly do. I only laugh because I usually make a fool out of myself infront of Anika and Grace by twirling around when we finish rounds with music.

All in all, the problems are more or less the same.

My previous Math tutor made me enjoy Math. My new tutor makes me feel stressed.
My previous dance teacher made me LOVE dance. The new one I'm under makes me feel terribly stressed during dance.

UGH!! (with an extra exclaimation point for that added effect)

Fixie Bikes and Aggro-skating

I should prolly head off to bed now. Can't stand it when people complain about having school. Its so much better than being at home/going out every day, studying and not knowing whether you can make it to Poly next year. Like seriously, stop complaining about tests and projects. I'd give anything to be doing them right now.

At times like these I regret not accepting my ITE slot. Should've just gone and do my Visual Merchandising for 2 years, get a good GPA and then head off to Poly.

Anyways, those photos were from my Genting trip! Driving there's so much better than taking a coach. I've got loads of photos to upload and show you guys man! Being in Genting itself was boring but the drive up and down totally made up for it.

Must push my lazy ass to go do a blog post to show y'all the awesome food we ate there! Simple fare, but good nevertheless.

p.s. FIXIE BIKES ARE SO ADORABLE! But I'm saving money and waiting for next year to do aggressive (also called aggro) skating! I've found some awesome-looking 2nd hand ones and the sellers are asking for at least $400+?? Mad awesome stuff, but it looks like I'll be breaking a few bones considering how clumsy I already am in my LEGS. Imagine me in aggro-skates.. hah! ;)

Happy birthday Celine Xie!
You know I luv you!
